Unlocking the Future: Machine Learning Meets Economics—From Algorithms to Policy

The workshop will benefit Economics Scholars, particularly Early-phase Doctoral and advanced Graduate students, as well as Policymakers and Practitioners.

The workshop includes classroom lectures on the economics and mathematics of machine learning algorithms like Decision Trees, XGBoost and Neural Networks. The workshop also integrates live sessions with Python programming to implement selected machine-learning algorithms. Two panel discussions, dedicated towards understanding the nature of value creation on digital platforms and society-wide implications of applications of machine learning algorithms, shall enrich the key policy takeaways from the workshop. Participants will receive certificates and access to all lecture materials upon registration.
